Giving something back
Each year, colleagues from our sites choose their Charity of the Year. They set themselves the challenge of raising money for their chosen cause in the most original and amusing ways they can imagine.
2009 Big Wigs Regional Challenge for Sue Ryder Care
From a £50 investment, Fenmarc was challenged to make as big a return as possible. Events included a Cake Bake, football tournaments, a Wii competition and quiz night, as well as a prize draw and Midnight Walk. Fenmarc colleagues raised a significant donation from their efforts and were named runners up for the title ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.
2010 Charity Bike Ride for Tickled Pink
In 2010 Fenmarc’s managing director Richard Anderson cycled 120 miles from Leamington Spa to Chesterfield in just over eight hours. Together with colleagues from Asda, Richard undertook The Pedal Power Challenge to raise money for Asda’s Tickled Pink charity. Colleagues, friends and associates sponsored Richard to the tune of over £1,500 for his efforts – a ‘wheel’ result!
