On 17th February, 11 further Fenmarc colleagues completed their 101 training course. A huge achievement celebrating Fenmarc'c dedication to continuous development, with over 500 colleagues now having completed the course.
This year's 11 colleagues began their training on the 30th September 2010 for a period of 5 months and have studied a variety of topics based around individual's self awareness. The course aims to encourage continual learning and personal growth for both new and existing colleagues. The course underpins the Fenmarc culture and after 11 years remains fundamental to the business ethos.
Diane Walton - Managing Partner of Fairstead Development
The 101 was designed to develop and encourage the Fenmarc culture and values. What makes this programme so special to me is the difference it makes to the colleagues, we see massive shifts in personal insights and the impact this has on their personal effectiveness in the business. Making a real and effective difference is the most rewarding experience!
This is what some of the colleagues had to say about their experience:
Kate Goodman - Category Analyst
'101 made me a lot more aware of my own attitudes and behaviours. The one concept that has stuck with me most after the course is the Winners and Losers Triangle, this will be a great help in my role as I feel that I now approach situations in a different and more productive way. I enjoyed getting to know other people in the business that I wouldn't normally get to interact with as it gave me a better understanding of other people's roles'.
Dawn Godfrey - Trials Co-ordinator
This course has taught me the importance of listening to and understanding my work colleagues. I am now more confident in myself and my abilities and as a result I am able to contribute more either through ideas or actions. This sense of empowerment will assist me greatly.
Andrew Lander - Potato Trader
'The 101 Training has enhanced the way I deal with suppliers, customers, colleagues and people alike. I completed this course 9 years ago and it was great having a second chance to highlight where improvements could be made. It showed me that there are different ways of approaching situations and showed me that asking for help when new situations arise can be helpful. The best part of the course was being able to work together with colleagues I don't normally get to interact with'
