101 training is a bespoke self-awareness course where colleagues learn about their personal effectiveness: how to lead themselves, how they interact with others and why each of us works in a certain way. The course underpins the Fenmarc culture and after 10 years remains fundamental to the business ethos.
Director Kate Milligan attended the course in 2002- ‘It’s been several years since my 101 experience, but I can say with conviction that it is still very current for me today. I’ve used the key learning’s in all work situations, from everyday issues to interesting and challenging times that have helped me to reach my goals. The 101 is a fantastic work and personal experience which has delivered for the business time and time again. That’s why we still run the course 10 years on!’
In conjunction with Fairstead Development (our training providers), in 2005 this course won Fenmarc a National Training Award and has enabled us to ‘grow’ our colleagues the Fenmarc way and keep our culture thriving. Here are some quotes from delegates who have just completed Module 1:
“After only module 1 of the 4 we will be completing on the 101 course, I already feel it’s changed my perspective on the way I work and the how I approach things. It’s been a lot of fun, great to meet new people and I’m looking forward to module 2 already.”
Clare Dixon, Marketing Assistant.
“ The 101 has been great fun so far. I have enjoyed getting to know the people I work with as well as learning about my own and other people’s behaviour. I’m really looking forward to learning about the new concepts and experiences in future modules.”
Stewart Wood, Software Developer
“It’s been a real wow for me, learning how to be a better communicator is such a valuable skill and it’s great to spend more time with colleagues in a different environment (including the bar!).”
Carole Harvey, Finance Director
