British Potato 2009

Fenmarc @ British Potato 2009

Fenmarc headed for Harrogate and the Yorkshire Event Centre on the 25th and 26th November with a stand at the British Potato Show 2009. With more than 5,000 industry players and over 130 exhibitors from the UK and beyond at the biannual event, it looked set to be an exciting and busy two days.

The Fenmarc stand represented all three areas of the business, including our new brand, The Very Very Veg Co and our Agricultural division Agrimarc. With lots of activity across the business we were keen to talk to all industry players. We wanted to introduce Agrimarc and Fenmarc’s new corporate identities, herald the relaunch of the Rudolph potato this year, meet potential new suppliers and growers and talk to current and potential customers.

At the sleek demo kitchen on the stand, Sarah our NPD Leader cooked up delicious samples all day, giving visitors the chance to try our fantastic Rudolph potato baked, wedged, or roasted, with sample bags of potatoes to go. We demonstrated the versatility of potatoes too, with mashed potato Chocolate Brownies and Lemon Drizzle cake baked to perfection by Saints and Sinners Bakery in Spalding. Judging by the number of empty trays, a lot more sinners than saints were visiting the stand!

It was a proud moment for Fenmarc to see its new corporate identity up and running alongside Agrimarc’s new logo, symbolising our ambition to move forward and grow our business.

The exhibition provided an excellent launch pad for The Very Very Veg Co. Brand Manager Laura Allan and colleagues discussed plans for the brand tiers: Unearthed Treasures, Organic, Small and Sweet, Easy Peasy and of course Everyday Favourites. New products and promotional ideas are already in development, all designed to add excitement to the nation’s veg aisles.
