From field to factory and on through delivery, quality is our priority at Fenmarc.
We give our produce the best start in life by working with the UK’s leading seed houses. Together with grower partnerships that can stretch back 40 years, established supply partners and our own crop production, we’ve created the ideal conditions for growing excellence.
All our growers and suppliers are part of the Assured Produce Scheme (APS) and are Global Gap accredited. Our unique quality assurance system generates valuable learning and ‘quality champions’ at every stage of production. Field records and assessments form an integral part of supply, with a ‘quality passport’ for all raw materials. These, alongside our sound pesticide management scheme ensures that our production facilities receive a steady supply of safe, great tasting products.
All Fenmarc’s facilities are BRC accredited to Global Food Safety standard Grade A. Here, quality controllers (QCs) don’t simply oversee high standards, they also train colleagues to seek out the best. And to make sure we’re really happy, our products are regularly assessed by quality panels, sensory analysis and competitor evaluations by fully trained assessors.

With market leading consumer insights backed by solid research, we know what consumers want. We spend a great deal of time speaking directly to shoppers in focus groups and through store research to ensure that the products we develop deliver.
We get involved with industry experts and events, keeping an ear to the ground for emerging trends, anticipating market changes, and keep an eye on the competition. That helps us offer what’s really new to UK and export markets, to retail, foodservice or wholesale customers.
Innovation at Fenmarc ranges from developments in prepared vegetables to new varieties, working with key complimentary suppliers to produce winning combinations. We’re always looking to improve versatility, consistency, taste and, of course, quality.
Product innovation also helps us reduce our environmental impact, while selecting the best land for each crop. The result: improved yields that are good for the grower – and the environment.
LEAN MANUFACTURING
Lean manufacturing principles have been applied across all our sites and throughout our supply chain to facilitate and achieve world class levels of response, flexibility and reliability throughout our business.
At the same time, our culture of shop floor ownership and sustainability promotes a safer working environment for colleagues. Within this context, our multi-skilled shop floor teams work to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, in order to supply top quality produce on time, in full, every time.
